Security Audit? Sphinx Has You Covered
Oakland, CA, January 12, 2018
With Sphinx Logon, customers are confident that their logon data is protected. But for customers that face mandatory security audits, the need for Sphinx is especially critical.
Many organizations are now required to show elevated logon security methods; whether for government requirements, industry associations, or their supply chain. Below is an example of a recent customer experience.
Customer Need:
A US food industry association came to us with a pressing need to increase their logon security. As a government-controlled entity under the USDA, they are audited on a regular basis and had an upcoming audit.
Security Requirement:
The USDA Information Systems Security Policy now requires that authentication of all network connections are based on Department of Defense standards including two-factor user/machine
authentication.
Customer Feedback:
The association was surprised at how quick and easy it was to install the logon software.
They were especially happy that it made no impact to their existing Windows installation, and
user rollout was seamless.
USDA Auditor Feedback:
Instead of a nail-biting scenario, the USDA audit was a proud moment for the association, as they easily passed. The association reports that the government auditor was both impressed with the logon software and excited, since it made his job easy. The Sphinx software efficiently met the USDA requirements:
* Provided the required two-factor authentication,
* Enabled total lifecycle control of cards, with hotlisting of lost cards in real time,
* Included a real time snapshot of user logon and logoff activity.
