1Point Showcases "True" Converged Physical/Logical Access Solution at ASIS 2008

Stop by the 1Point booth, in the HID Global booth #1611, at the ASIS International 2008 show September 15-18 in Atlanta, Georgia for a demonstration of a "true" converged access solution. 1Point lets you use the same HID iCLASS card for both building and network access, and lets you manage the entire system from a single web-based management station.
The 1Point solution is unique and especially appealing to customers in the way that it provides "one stop shopping" for the entire solution including:
- Physical access hardware and controls
- Logical access end-user software and hardware
- Central web-based management software, which enables all aspects of the converged solution to be easily managed and monitored
The system offers the choice of a wide variety of high quality HID physical access hardware and controls. Door and building access, user security and privileges are easily managed from the central web console.
Logical access is accomplished using the Sphinx Logon Manager software. Upon first use, end-users simply present their iCLASS card to the card reader at their PC and enter their Windows password. Thereafter, they will be prompted to present their card and type in a PIN to logon to Windows, websites, and applications. Since Sphinx has been integrated to function as a part of the 1Point solution, no extra card issuance step is required.
